Becoming a Consignor

Consigning is a great way to make room in your home, help the environment, get paid for your unwanted items, and pick up some unique stuff of your own! Here is the short version of how it works in five (5) steps:

      1. Identify what you want to sell

Cherished Possessions (CP) accepts gently used furniture, jewelry, art, home décor and many other items ranging from tools to antiques and kayaks. Upholstered pieces must be in excellent condition and free from stains, tears, discoloration, and odors. All wooden pieces must be free of scratches and repairs. We only accept  items our customers want to buy.

      2. Schedule an appointment

Schedule an appointment by phone, or email pictures of your items to us at info@cpconsign.com  CP requires images to assess your items before you bring them in.  Small items are limited to ten (10) items per consignment, unless they are part of a large household.

      3. Consign your items

Remember, you can only make money if the item sells. Our pricing is based on a large database and lots of experience. We don’t want your items to go unsold due to unrealistic pricing.  It is in our best interest to price items for maximum returns and to negotiate the best possible deal for your items.

     4. Track your sales

An item is consigned for 90 days. You can track your sales on our website at any time. We reduce prices monthly in most cases. If your items do not sell within the 90 day period you have five days from the ticket date to pick up your items. If it is not picked up, the item becomes the property of CP with no further notice. CP reserves the right to mark an item down by 10% at any given time. Your contract term does not start until items are tagged and on the floor. Items are also imaged for the website in orderly fashion.

     5. How do I get paid?

Consignors are paid 50% of the selling price. Just give us a call after the 10th of each month to prick up any check over $10.000, or have it sent by mail.
